No Job Too Small
One Electrical Contractor, Whatever the Job
ome electrical work is planned months ahead. Some of it is a breaker that tripped an hour ago. We do both, and everything in between, across North Vancouver and the North Shore.
Greenvolt Electric is a licensed electrical contractor working with homeowners, business owners, builders, property managers and strata councils. Every job is handled by electricians registered with Technical Safety BC, with permits pulled and inspections coordinated by us rather than left to you.
Below is everything we do. If you are not sure which one applies to your situation, start with the section right after this one.
Not Sure What You Need? Start Here.
Most people do not arrive knowing the name of the service. Find the line that sounds like your situation.
- Something stopped working, or a breaker keeps tripping. You want repair and troubleshooting.
- Your insurer or broker asked for an electrical inspection. You want a safety and insurance inspection.
- You are buying an older home and need to know if it is insurable. Also a safety and insurance inspection, and worth calling before your subject removal date.
- You bought an electric vehicle. You want EV charger installation, and possibly not a panel upgrade at all.
- Your panel is full, or you have a fuse box or 60 amp service. You want a panel or service upgrade.
- You are renovating a kitchen, bathroom or basement. You want renovation electrical.
- You are building a house, laneway or coach house. You want new construction electrical.
- You signed a commercial lease and the space needs fitting out. You want tenant improvement electrical.
- You want better light inside, or pot lights. You want a lighting upgrade.
- You want to light the garden, path or stairs outside. You want landscape and outdoor lighting.
- You want smart switches, a thermostat, cameras or a smart lock. You want smart home installation.
Still unsure, or your situation is not on the list? Call and describe it. Working out what you actually need is part of the job, and it does not cost anything.

Why It Helps to Use One Contractor
Plenty of projects need more than one of the things on this page. A basement renovation often turns into a panel upgrade. Adding an EV charger sometimes means load management and a new circuit. A strata that wants parkade lighting usually needs a capacity assessment first.
When one contractor handles all of it, nobody is pointing at anybody else when something does not line up, the load calculation gets done once rather than three times, and you get a single quote instead of trying to work out whether three quotes overlap.
We are also happy to do just the one thing you called about. There is no package you have to buy into.
Common Questions
1. I am not sure which of these services I need. What should I do?
Call and describe what is going on in plain language. Figuring out which service applies is our job, not yours, and it does not cost you anything to ask.
2. Do you take small jobs, or only large projects?
Both. A single outlet is a real job and we treat it like one. A lot of electricians will not come out for small work, which is exactly why people call us for it.
3. Do you work with homeowners, businesses and stratas?
All three. Roughly speaking, homes and older properties, commercial spaces and multi unit buildings, and industrial sites. Each has its own page under property type above.
4. Can one project involve several of these services?
Very often, and that is normal. A renovation might include a panel upgrade and new lighting. We quote it as one project with one scope rather than sending you three separate numbers.
5. Do you charge for quotes?
Quotes for planned work are free. Diagnostic visits, where the work is finding out what is wrong, carry a service call rate that we tell you about before we come out.
6. Which areas do you cover?
North Vancouver and the North Shore primarily, plus West Vancouver and the wider Lower Mainland for larger commercial and strata projects.
